It's impossible to discuss Florida State football without the architect of the program, head coach Bobby Bowden. Bowden built the program from scratch to become one of the winningest coaches in college football history, including an AP and Coaches Poll National Championship in 1993 and a BSC Championship in 1999. Florida State also one the ACC Conference Championship 12 times under Bowden, creating a college football powerhouse in the process. A signature of a Bobby Bowden team during the heydays in Tallahassee was recruiting and refining the games best athletes - including Deion Sanders, Charlie Ward, Peter Warrick, Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, Terrell Buckley and Peter Boulware.
